Vision for God’s Favor
3 Steps to healing:
Live on a day-to-day basis with a purpose bigger than you are. (Psalm 90:16-17, NRSV, TEV; Matthew 20:26-28, NKJV)
Jesus had a purpose greater than self; it was always to please the Father who sent Him. Even going to the cross, with all the pain and suffering, still brought Him a strange joy. (Hebrews 12:2, NKJV; Hebrews 12:3, CEV)
Knowing and living out your purpose, in light of what Jesus did for you – helps to overcome discouragement and depression. Spiritual growth is the only guarantee that life is going to get better; everything rises and falls on your fellowship with Jesus.
See your hurt that needs healing in a redemptive perspective or eternal perspective.
You have to have redemptive or eternal perspective not to live in depression and discouragement. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NKJV) Live in perspective of Romans 8:28 if you ever want to begin the healing process. (Romans 8:27-28, NKJV) Even though you don’t understand it, God knows the end and will work it out for good.
Bring people on the journey with you.
You need community where you can be open and honest. You need people to do life with.
