Why Men Need to Man Up

What it means to be the spiritual head of the family:

(Genesis 3:6, NKJV; Ephesians 5:23, NKJV; 1 Corinthians 11:3, NKJV)

You as the husband, man of the family, are to take the initiative in spiritual matters. (Ephesians 5:33, NKJV) Love your wife in a way she respects you. Do whatever it takes to protect her. Adam loved his wife, but he did not show the right kind of love by not trying to protect her. Adam was not the spiritual head of his home, his wife was.

Adam should not have allowed Eve to continue the conversation with the devil.

(Genesis 3:1-6, NKJV)

How to know who the right people are in your life and in your wife’s life. Do they motivate you to love God more? (Hebrews 3:13, NIV) Do they celebrate God’s blessings in your life? (Proverbs 11:10, NLT) Do they have your back? (Proverbs 17:17, NIV) Do they hold you accountable out of love and friendship? (Proverbs 27:6, NIV) Do they live what they believe? (Psalm 119:63, NIV) Do they have the right people in their own lives? (2 Corinthians 6:14, NKJV)

If your friends do not have HIM in the middle of their life, you need to invite them out of your life. (Proverbs 18:24, ESV) You will never have the fellowship with them that you need and want.

How do you love your wife in a way that she respects you?

You have an intimate relationship with Jesus. When your wife sees you becoming strong and courageous in the Lord, she will begin to respect you. (Joshua 1:7-9, NKJV) As you read the word, are under the Word, obey the Word, and share the Word, you will start becoming more and more prosperous and successful. Your wife wants to follow your lead. To an extent, our wives are a reflection of our spiritual walk with God.
