Start Up | What to do in the Midst of Continued Suffering
When the suffering continues, remember this is not the end. (Job 42:12, GW)
Most of us did not start up right, but all of us can finish well. (Genesis 50:20, NKJV) Be reminded that Joseph went from the prison to the palace. (Romans 8:28, NKJV) You can make a commitment to start up right and finish in spite of your past. (Haggai 2:9, NKJV)
Many times, things get worse before they get better. (Job 2:1-10, NKJV)
Many times, the suffering, hurts, and pains we see and experience here on earth we won’t understand until heaven. Satan’s purpose is to bring about separation between us and God.
Satan knows the farther he can get us from God, the more destruction, devastation and fear he can bring. God knows the closer we are to God, the more love, power, peace, and courage we have.
You can’t always fix your loved one’s hurts. (Job 2:8-9, NKJV)
Men, when we hurt, our wives hurt. Women, you can’t always fix your husband’s hurts, and trying to hurt those who hurt him won’t help; what will help is simply love and encourage him. The Bible says the two will become one. (Genesis 2:24-25, NKJV)
When you have true oneness, you are not ashamed to share and love each other when you are hurting and suffering. God’s true created order is to please God where the two of you will grow into one. (Genesis 3:6, NKJV)
Sometimes, the best thing you can do when someone is mourning and hurting is just by being there. (Job 2:11-13, NKJV)
