9 Steps to Thriving
#1 – Be honest about why you are where you are and living in survival mode.
a. You have to come to the point you stop blaming others (sometimes including yourself) and start looking up and listen to God.
#2 – You have to hear from God (Judges 6:12, AMP)
a. We hear from God by being in the Word, under the Word and the Holy Spirit teaching us the truth about the Word.
b. H.B.O = Peace, Power, and Provision
#3 – You have to believe the Word
a. God called Gideon a “Mighty Man of Courage” because God saw Gideon as he could be, not as he was.
b. God wants us to believe we are who He says we are.
c. Believing, or Faith, is a chosen behavior on a consistent basis, until it meets an important need or promise.
d. Believing, or Faith, is more of an action rather than an emotion.
#4 – Have the right people around you (Judges 6:25-27,NKJV)
#5 – Commitment to a new awakening and devotion (Judges 25-26, NKJV)
a. Tear down the old idols in your life and build a new relationship and fellowship with God through devotion and dedication.
#6 – Assess the problem (Judges 6:33-34, NKJV)
a. Satan wants to bring fear by what we see with our physical eyes instead of our spiritual devotion. (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV)
#7 – Assess and Adjust your attitude (Judges 7:2-8, NKJV)
#8 – Attack the Enemy (Judges 7:19-21, NKJV)
a. If we don’t face our problems, they will just get bigger.
b. The only way to grow is to raise your threshold of pain.
#9 – Learn to Enjoy the Victory (Judges 8:28, NKJV)
