What you pledge, you need to pay. (Acts 5:1-11, GW)
When you make a pledge or commitment to God, you need to fulfill it or don’t make it at all. This simple truth applies to marriage, kids, and all relationships. Our nation is full of the most uncommitted people we’ve ever had. (Ecclesiastes 5:4-6, NKJV; Matthew 5:37, NKJV)
Don’t allow money to destroy your life and marriage.
Satan is not only a deceiver, but he can make good things look bad and bad things look good. (1 Timothy 2:14, NKJV) Satan comes to tempt dressed as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14, NKJV)
Satan’s greatest test and temptation is always to create distance between you and God. Satan not only uses our words and the words of others to tempt and test us, but he also uses money.
The consequences of being deceived.
Consequences cost, and the cost is never worth the pleasure you got from the deception or rebellion. We are not to tempt or test God to see how much we can get away with before He responds. (Matthew 4:7, NKJV)
When you make a commitment, whether it’s to God, mate, children, or your job, keep it. (1 Timothy 6:10, NKJV, MSG)
