Example of essentials: The Bible is God’s Word. The Church is Christ’s family. Jesus Christ is the only Son of God—virgin birth. Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it.
Non-Essential Beliefs Non-essential beliefs are convictions that individuals may have that are not essential to getting into heaven—thus, we show liberty. Romans 14:1; Romans 14:12 Examples of non-essential beliefs: Whether smoking, drinking, what you eat, etc. is going to keep you out of heaven. What style of music, dancing, or where you work. What religion you are—it’s not a religion that gets us to heaven, it’s a relationship with Jesus Christ. Romans 14:17, NKJV
