Family Matters | How to Restore Harmony in the Home

You’re going to have conflicts.

(Job 14:1, NCV)

We were born into sin; we will die to sin. We can be born again and not have to pay the consequences of our sins, but that does not do away with the temptation to sin.

Only after we ask Jesus to be Lord and Savior of our life, can we learn to have more victories over our sins and learn how to handle conflict correctly.

Jesus want us to have less conflicts and more harmony.

(1 Corinthians 14:33-34, NKJV)

Satan is the author of confusion. The real battle is a spiritual battle.

The wiles of the devil:

The devil is planning, strategizing, and developing a specific and special wile just for you. The goal is to take you out. The devil knows if he can get distance between you and God, he can get distance between you and other relationships you may have. Many times, we don’t realize it’s the devil trying to take you down. If you will become aware, you will learn what Satan is trying to use to take you down.

Satan’s Strategy:

Deceive, tempt, and accuse. Most deception comes by making us think we deserve more.

God’s Strategy:

Love, convict, cleanse, comfort, and commission. In spite of your sin, no matter what you have done, God is looking for you to care for you, cleanse you, and love you. (Genesis 3:8-9, TEV) Jesus’ death covers us once and for all. (Genesis 3:20-21, TEV; Romans 6:10, NKJV) The devil caused the first conflict on earth and in heaven. (Genesis 3:10-13, TEV)

Look for the cure.

If you don’t find the cure, you will repeat the conflict. (Mark 3:25, TEV, TLB) Understand where conflict comes from. (James 4:1, NCV; Romans 12:2, NKJV, NCV; John 10:10, NKJV) Blame is lame. (James 4:1, NCV) Most people do not accept correction because they want to blame others for their problems instead of accepting the blame.

When we blame others, it releases them from accepting their own responsibility, but it does not release them the problem. When you don’t accept blame, you live in shame and blame When you don’t accept blame, you live in anger and obsessed in blaming others.
