Money Changers
God is present in His house.
(Matthew 21:12-16, NKJV)
Would you act differently if you knew Jesus was in the house?
Jesus turned over the tables.
Jesus was not a wimp, but a warrior. (Exodus 15:3, NKJV) Don’t worry about wrongdoings that may happen in His house, He is capable of straightening things out. Jesus was man enough to turn over the money changer’s tables and humble enough to wash His disciple’s feet. (1 Corinthians 16:13b-14, TLB)
Jesus knows how you are spending your money in His house.
Jesus knows if you are tithing, tipping, or stealing. The money changers were stealing. (Malachi 3:8, NKJV) Stealing and the misusing of money in God’s house led Jesus to righteous anger. Righteous anger is when something is so wrong, it gives Jesus the right to be angry without sinning.
If you choose to be disobedient, there will come a curse. (Malachi 3:9, NKJV) If you choose to be obedient, there will be blessings. (Malachi 3:10, NKJV) Jesus sees what is put in the treasury. (Mark 12:41-44, NKJV) It’s not the amount you give, it’s the heart and sacrifice that shows your true love. (Mark 12:42, TLB; Matthew 6:21, NKJV)
God’s house is a place of prayer, help, and healing.
(Matthew 21:13-14, NKJV)
Church is a place where God will work in great and mighty ways. (Matthew 18:19-20, NKJV)
God’s presence + God’s promise + God’s people = God’s power.
There is no better day than today to ask Jesus for help and healing you need. (James 5:14-16, NKJV)
