Victory vs. Defeat
The wrong focus leads to defeat.(Numbers 13:23,NKJV; Numbers 13:27-28,NKJV;John16:33, NKJV)
If you want to change what you do, how you behave, what you believe, or how you respond, you have to change what you see and how you see it. The majority is usually wrong, and the loudest.(Numbers 13:32-33,NKJV) If you want to be used by God and to make a difference, you will be in the minority, not the majority. Learn to choose faith over fear.
The reason for defeat:
Moses sent spies into the promise land to see if they were going to fight. They focused in the big giants instead of how big the grapes were. They listened to the majority and those who were the loudest instead of those who were the wisest. They allowed fear to overcome their faith. They missed their purpose for being delivered from bondage.
Joshua and the children of Israel had victory because they sought God’s strategy for battle.
They went into the promise land asking how to fight, not if they should fight.(Joshua 1:16,NIV) They prepared for battle and waited on God’s plan without complaining or rebelling.(Joshua 3:5,CEV) They were ready to fight because they trusted God’s promises, His timing, and His methods.
