Secrets to Successful Parenting
What’s the wise thing to do? (Ephesians 5:17, NKJV)
When our relationships are right with God and our relationships are right with family, that’s the wise thing to do. Children must learn to have their own relationship with God, they cannot depend on ours.
Every other relationship with be affected by our relationship with God. (Matthew 6:33, NKJV; John 15:5, NKJV; John 15:7-8, NKJV)
Understand the decision-making process.
The secret to successful parenting is influence; the secret to influence is relationships. (Proverbs 13:20, NCV)
Parent God Others = Decisions
Knowing where your child is at spiritually is just as, if not more important than knowing where they are physically. (Ephesians 6:1- 4, NKJV)
Begin to focus on your child’s spiritual condition.
It’s important to grow spiritually. (Galatians 5:21-23, NKJV, CEV)
Know where you are spiritually. Make a commitment to start growing spiritually.
Relationship is more important than reputation or riches.
(Ephesians 6:4, NKJV, TEV)
Don’t worry more about your reputation than your relationship with your child. Don’t substitute riches for relationships.
