Secrets to Triumphant Living
Lasting joy comes through obedience, not just learning. (James 1:4, NIV)
Perseverance implies obedience.
Learning how to have joy in trials is one of the fastest and wisest ways to grow as a Christian. (James 1:2, NIV)
God can use trials or discipline to grow us, but here, God is mainly teaching us through trials.
Trials focus on testing, training, and growing our faith. God’s purpose is to strengthen our character, train us to rely on Him rather than ourselves, and to build perseverance leading to maturity and completeness in Christ. Discipline focuses on correction and training.
Without trials, we would not fully understand joy.
We have to learn to be happy without before we can be happy with what we get. True joy come from spiritual maturity, not temporary satisfaction. (Matthew 6:19-20, NIV) True happiness come from God’s provision, not possessions.
True joy that lasts is a byproduct of seeking Jesus daily.
It comes from relationship, not circumstance.
Lasting joy flows from seeking Jesus and aligning our hearts with His will. (Matthew 6:33-34, NKJV)
