Lead with Your Legacy | Don’t Just Come To Church
What do you want your legacy to be?
Maybe it’s living out Matthew 6:33 where you can enjoy Ephesians 3:20.
How to lead with your legacy. (Colossians 3:17, NKJV)
Once you know what you want to be remembered for, it’s no longer about what you want to do. I don’t want to be remembered for my Career, but for my Character, Contribution, and Choices that lead to furthering God’s Kingdom. Way too many people worry about what to do instead of what to be remembered for. Instead, whatever you do, do it to the glory of the Lord.
What Lasts in a Legacy?
God’s Word will last. (Isaiah 40:8, KJV) I don’t want to be remembered for my Career, but for my Choices that lead to furthering God’s Kingdom. To know God’s Word, you have to make day-to-day choices. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20, NKJV) Love the Lord and obey His Word. (Matthew 22:37-40, NKJV) The more of His Word you know, the more of Him you know and love. (John 1:1, NKJV)
While we’re still here on earth, God’s Word will:
- Lead us to salvation. (1 Peter 1:23, NKJV)
- Guide our steps. (Psalm 119:105, NKJV)
- Lift our Burdens. (Psalm 119:28, TLB)
- Bring Joy. (Jeremiah 15:16, NLT2)
Evaluate Your Legacy.
How is your fruit life? (John 15:16-17, NKJV; Jeremiah 17:9-10, NKJV) People who have come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior will last. Your fruit will be a lasting legacy. (1 Timothy 6:18-19, TLB; 1 Corinthians 3:8-9, NCV)
