Passover of Peace
The Lord’s Passover. (Exodus 12:11-14, NKJV)
Jesus is our perfect Lamb. (John 1:29, NKJV; Exodus 12:21-29, NKJV) Jesus was born in a stable for lambs. The shepherds were some of the first to see Jesus because they took care of lambs. (1 Peter 1:19, NKJV)
When we are in great need, we should be under the blood of the lamb, He is our shelter, protector, and provider. (Exodus 12:22, NLT) The destroyer has to obey God; The blood of Jesus is what causes the destroyer to pass by your household. (Exodus 12:23-27, NLT)
After the Passover, Pharaoh then released the children of Israel; The blood of Jesus sets us free from the enemy. (Exodus 12:31-36, NKJV; Psalm 105:36-43, NKJV, TEV)
Results of the Passover:
The enemy was defeated. (Exodus 12:30, NKJV) Freedom from bondage. (Exodus 12:31, NKJV) The Lord blessed financially. (Exodus 12:35, NKJV) The Lord plundered the enemy. (Exodus 12:36, NKJV) The Lord healed the sick. (Psalm 105:37, NKJV) The Lord protected and provided. (Psalm 105:39, NKJV) They were satisfied. (Psalm 105:40, 43, NKJV; Acts 17:24-25, TLB)
The Lord’s Supper is a time to examine our lives for sin and allow Jesus to cover them.
Jesus’ betrayer came from within, not from the outside. (1 Corinthians 11:23-32, NKJV) Give thanks; thank God for our salvation and the price it cost Him and His Son. Place your sins under the blood of Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:7-10, NKJV; Hebrews 9:22, NKJV; 1 Corinthians 11:30-32, KJV)
Remember what Jesus did: (Matthew 26:26-30, NKJV)
The bread, a reminder of the Body of Christ. (Isaiah 50:6, NKJV; Isaiah 53:7, NKJV; Isaiah 52:14, NIV; Isaiah 53:5, KJV)
The juice, is a reminder of His blood. (Hebrews 9:22, NKJV; Matthew 26:30, NKJV)
