You are Born for Greatness
Jesus says you are born for greatness. (John 14:12-14, NKJV)
Jesus tells us not to be greater but to do greater. (John 14:13-14, NKJV) You don’t ask in Jesus’ name so you can be great, you ask in Jesus’ name to do great things that would bring honor and glory to God the Father through His Son. God tells us we were born for greatness and how to have it.
God tells you He has already arranged it.
He has already arranged our path to greatness. (Ephesians 2:10, AMP) He has gone before us and prearranged this good life, this great life, and that He wants us to learn and walk in it.
As we learn to live out this good life, we find our purpose. As we find our purpose, we find Significance instead of self-centeredness. Hurting people hurt people, insecure people need attention and reassurance, healthy people want to help people.
Jesus tells us how to find our purpose because it’s the same purpose He had. (Mark 10:45, NKJV; Luke 19:10, NIV; Luke 23:34, NIV) You can only come into the greatness you were created for when you understand your purpose clearly and begin to live it out fully. (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV)
Find your greatness where you are.
Many begin to find their identity and purpose, or at least part of them, in their job. We will spend more than a third of our life working. Many people really enjoy their job and take pride in it. Yet, 60%-65% of those say they are not fulfilled or satisfied with their job.
There is a growing desire to find fulfillment. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3, NIV)
