Navigating Expectations: Jesus’ Entry
7 Truths to Jesus’ Entry. (Luke 19:30-34, AMP)
Truth #1 – If Jesus can make a donkey calm enough to ride for the first time, He can surely calm you down and give you peace.
Truth #2 – Always be ready to allow Jesus to have access.
Truth #3 – Whatever Jesus tells you to do, do it because it will always be true.
Truth #4 – We need to come to the point that we are not ashamed to tell others why we are doing what we do.
Truth #5 – Jesus told His disciples that Lazarus’s death was to the “Glory of God” and it came true. (Luke 19:35-40, NKJV; John 12:18; John 11:4, NKJV)
Truth #6 – Jesus was not talking about His entry but His resurrection.
Truth #7 – Jesus’ entry teaches about the wrong expectations.
Wrong expectations.
On earth, Jesus was expected to be the temporary King, but Jesus came to be the permanent King. (Matthew 21:9, NKJV; Matthew 27:22-23, KJV) You can’t do the impossible until you can see the invisible. Satan’s goal for offense is always to get us to be offended at God.
The closer you are to someone the easier it is to get offended. Many times, what we see as an offense is nothing more than God wanting us to grow in that area. The cure: be quick to repent and forgive. (Acts 3:19, NKJV)
