Children, obey your parents. (Ephesians 6:1-4, NKJV)
Many youth and children today are believing the lies of the devil. The devil tempts you to think you are smarter than God and that your way is better. (Genesis 3:3-5, Webster’s Bible, Genesis 3:6, Webster’s Bible)
Fathers: (Ephesians 6:4)
You are an important part of raising your children. Oftentimes, you want to correct in anger which leads to provoking wrath or anger.
The goal of correction and discipline is preserving the relationship and not to worry about reputation. (James 1:20, NKJV)
Mothers:
Let your husband be involved in the correction and raising of your children. (1 Peter 3:7, NKJV) You are not meant to be the only one responsible.
What it means to honor.
Honor builds up, believes the best, and values. Honor is about what you decide, not what they deserve. When you learn to honor those who don’t deserve honor, God honors you. The Godly died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:8, NKJV)
Honor works 3 ways:
- Honor those over us.
- Honor those under us.
- Honor those next to us.
God’s plan at your workplace. (Ephesians 6:5-10, Webster’s Bible)
We are to work as unto the Lord, that pleases God. Because you are working unto the Lord, you will show your boss honor and respect. For the boss; treat your employees how you want God to treat you.
