It is Friday night which means it is game night!

Friday night and Noah is getting ready for the big game! Though, he seems to forget that he isn’t the only player on that field. There are a lot of different players who all serve an important part in the game! Noah needs to remember that he is a member of a team and he needs to worry less about himself and more about the game! Connect with Big Steve! Website â–º https://www.jcpineville.com/children

The Bible

The Pharisee and the Tax Collector:

Luke 18:9-14

The Big Idea

We need God!

Talk It Out

  1. Who were the two people in Jesus’ parable?
  2. Before hearing the story, who do you think would have been the one received by God?
  3. Who was received by God?
  4. Do you think that the Pharisee was being genuine, or just doing things because he was ‘supposed to?’
  5. Is it easy to do the right thing even if no one knows?
  6. Does God help us do the right thing?
  7. How can you allow God to help you?

Focus On This

A genuine relationship changes people. The pharisee’s did not have a real relationship with God so they were just going through the motions. The tax collector may not have always followed the laws perfectly, but he has a relationship with God allowing God to forgive him and help him.
