- Who were the two people in Jesus’ parable?
- Before hearing the story, who do you think would have been the one received by God?
- Who was received by God?
- Do you think that the Pharisee was being genuine, or just doing things because he was ‘supposed to?’
- Is it easy to do the right thing even if no one knows?
- Does God help us do the right thing?
- How can you allow God to help you?
Focus On This
A genuine relationship changes people. The pharisee’s did not have a real relationship with God so they were just going through the motions. The tax collector may not have always followed the laws perfectly, but he has a relationship with God allowing God to forgive him and help him.
