🏈⚡ Rival Week Thunder! Big Steve Calms Kat with Daniel’s Courageous Tale!

It’s rival week, and Big Steve is pumped to cheer on his team, believing they’re the best around! 🎉🏟️ Amidst the game-day excitement, he receives a frantic call from Just Kat, who’s frightened by a severe thunderstorm at her house. The thunder and lightning are overwhelming, and she’s looking for comfort. Big Steve first assures her that God is always there to protect us, but when that doesn’t ease her fears, he shifts tactics. He asks her to consider how Daniel might have felt in the lion’s den, facing seemingly insurmountable fear. 🦁🕊️ Big Steve then recounts the story of Daniel, who was thrown into a lion’s den for worshipping God instead of King Darius, but kept his faith and was miraculously saved by an angel who shut the lions’ mouths. This story helps Just Kat find calm amidst the storm, as she draws parallels between Daniel’s faith under dire circumstances and her own situation. Join Big Steve and Just Kat as they explore how biblical courage can inspire us to face our modern-day ‘lions’ with faith and bravery. Connect with Big Steve! The Bible

Daniel in the Lion’s Den:

Daniel 6:1-23

The Big Idea

God always protects us!

Talk It Out

  1. Why was Daniel thrown into the lion’s den?
  2. What did Daniel do that helped him stay safe?
  3. How does prayer help us in our lives?
  4. When can we pray, and what can we pray about?

Focus On This

The emphasis for the kids this week should be the importance of prayer. Prayer is a powerful way to stay connected to God. You can pray anytime, anywhere, and about anything! God will listen and he cares so much!
