IT’S MY CHILD’S FIRST TIME ATTENDING AN jcCHILDREN WEEKEND PROGRAM. HOW WILL THEY KNOW WHERE TO GO/WHAT TO DO
At jcCHILDREN, we are extremely excited to welcome our first-time guest!! We want them to feel extra special from the moment they walk in the door. To help us recognize them, we give them a a special sticker at check-in on their name tag. Our team, including staff and volunteers, all know to look for these stars on a child’s name tag to go the extra mile to welcome, comfort, and assist our first-time guests.
From the minute a child sets foot in jcCHILDREN until they’re picked up to head home, our goal is to make sure they have the best hour of their week at our program. We want their first experience with us to be easy, fun, and unforgettable!
MY CHILD IS ATTENDING A SERVICE WITH A FRIEND/FAMILY MEMBER WHO IS IN A DIFFERENT AGE GROUP. CAN THEY ATTEND TOGETHER IN THE SAME CLASSROOM?
To ensure that our curriculum is tailored to the needs of each age group, we encourage children to attend the service in their appropriate classroom. However, if a child feels uncomfortable attending alone, they are welcome to bring a friend or family member to join them.
To fully engage with the lesson being taught, we ask that both children attend the service for the youngest child’s age group. This way, the lesson will be accessible and meaningful for both children, and they will have the opportunity to learn and grow in their faith together.
Just make sure to talk to Pastor Steven when you arrive so he can make all the arrangements for you!
AS A PARENT, CAN I SERVE IN MY CHILD’S CLASSROOM?
Lots of parents get in on the action with jcCHILDREN, and we love it when new volunteers join the team! If you’ve got a heart for investing in kids’ lives, we want you! Talk to Pastor Steven about our steps to becoming a jcCHILDREN volunteer here and get ready to have a blast. We’re always excited to welcome new faces and work together to create an amazing experience for our kids!
IF I CHOOSE TO ATTEND ONE SERVICE AND WANT TO SERVE FOR A SECOND SERVICE, CAN MY CHILD ATTEND THEIR WEEKEND PROGRAMMING AGAIN FOR THE SECOND SERVICE
Of for sure! We have loads of parents who attend a service, serve, and even some who join small groups. We want you to get the most out of your weekends here at Journey too!
All three services here at jcCHILDREN are slightly different. They are designed in such a way that if a child attends one service they get a complete lesson to learn with. However, if they attend more then one service they will learn that lesson in multiple ways to keep them engaged the entire time!
