True Colors: The Truth About Healing

Humbly confess sin.
(2 Chronicles 7:14, KJVAE) (Psalm 60:2-4, TLB, NCV)

  • The #1 problem is pride. (James 4:6, KJVAE)
  • Pride is self-deception. (1 John 1:8, KJVAE)
  • You look at everyone else’s sin but your own.
  • Love the sinner and hate your sin.

One of the main problems is that we spend more time accusing others and excusing ourselves than we do practicing humility. Prideful, self-deceptive people justify instead of identify what the real problem is. When you are judging your neighbor, you’re really playing God. (James 4:12, NLT; Romans 2:3, NIV; 1 Peter 4:17, NIV) Judgement begins with God’s people in God’s house. We need each other. (James 5:16, KJVAE)

Pray Sincerely.
(2 Chronicles 7:14,

The problem is we often spend more time complaining than we do praying. Have you ever prayed about what you’re complaining about? (Hosea 7:14, NLT)

Seek My Face.
(2 Chronicles 7:14, KJVAE)

Seek God intensely. Don’t just seek God’s blessing, His gifts, or His favor, but seek Him. One of the greatest problems is that we spend time seeking everything else but God. (Psalms 14:2, NIV) If you want healing in a specific area, seek to know God. (Deuteronomy 4:29-31, NIV)

Turn back to God completely.
(2 Chronicles 7:14, KJVAE)

We all have wicked ways. (Ecclesiastes 7:20, KJVAE; Romans 3:23, KJV) The problem is that we don’t see our wicked ways, we can only see the wicked ways of others. (2 Timothy 3:1-5, NLT) In order to have healing, it has to start with us, not the ones we disagree with. (Acts 3:19, KJVAE; 1 Peter 4:17, NIV; 1 Corinthians 11:31, KJVAE)
