Raising an Army: Through Hospitality

Jesus used hospitality as a way of evangelizing. (Luke 7:34, NKJV; TEV)

Sharing the Good News and restoring broken relationships or lives. When the relationships with God become mended, it’s the beginning of all other relationships becoming right. (Psalm 127:1, NKJV; Ephesians 2:14, NKJV)

Hospitality.

Friendly reception and treatment of strangers. Turns strangers into friends. Offering to identify with an outsider and make them feel like an insider. Welcoming and fellowshipping with believers and non-believers out of truth and love for Jesus Christ. God offers you the hospitality of His Son. If you really care about someone’s eternity, show them by serving them in reality.

Jesus commands us to be hospitable. (Matthew 9:9-12, TLB)

If you can’t get them into the house, you can’t get into their hearts. Jesus’ goal was to connect the sinner with the Savior. Jesus did not only come for the sinners that need a Savior, but also for those who are sick and need a Savior. (Matthew 4:23, NKJV) There are spiritual blessings and insights by being hospitable. (Romans 12:12-14, NKJV; Matthew 6:10, NKJV)

Kingdom Principle; when we bless those who persecute us, we bring heaven to earth. (Matthew 5:43-45, NKJV; Matthew 6:33-34, NKJV)

Jesus wants us to have an attitude of serving with hospitality. (1 Peter 4:8-9, NKJV) One of the ways we promote truth is by having hospitality. (3 John 1:8, NIV; Weymouth New Testament)
