Allow the Lord to Fight Your Battles

Don’t fight personally. (2 Chronicles 20:17, NKJV)

It takes a lot of emotional energy to fight every battle that God could be fighting for you. When we fight first or fight back, many times God does not fight for us. Many times it’s not worth the fight, pick your battles.

Learn to position yourselves. (James 5:16-18, NKJV)

Get positionally right.

Stand still. (Psalm 46:10-11, NKJV, CEV)

One of the main reasons Christians don’t experience more of the power and presence of God is because they don’t wait on it. If you don’t stand still or calm down, you will have to fight your own battles and that is not God’s will for your life. Watch the salvation of the Lord. (2 Chronicles 20:17, NKJV) Do not fear or be discouraged while you’re waiting. (2 Corinthians 1:21, NKJV)

God prepares and uses you when no one is watching. (1 Samuel 17:32-47, NCV)

Most of your training by God comes when no one is watching. It’s what you do in private that greatly determines your victories in public. You will not arise in public beyond what you do in private.

David allowed God to use him. (1 Samuel 17:34-42, NCV)

David knew where his power came from and knew who was fighting his battles for him. David did not allow someone to dress him.

]Let God use you as you are and do not try to be someone else.

David knew it was not the earthly king who was going to give him victory, but the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. When you know God is with you and will fight for you, stop running from your battle and start running towards them. (1 Samuel 17:49-51, NCV; Joshua 1:5-6, NKJV)
