The Vow of Purity

Breaking Up is Hard to Do: The Vow of Purity | Consistency of Character

Three Reasons Why Breaking Up Has Become Easy to Do:

It’s socially excepted and almost expected.

As Christians, the world is not our standard. (Romans 12:1-2, CEV) One of the sacrifices that God loves and expects is for our bodies to be a living sacrifice of purity to Him. (Romans 12:1, CEV)

Pure: Holy, Sacred, Physically pure, and Morally pure.

When we are living the life and vow we committed to, we are pleasing and serving God. God does not want anything in our body that does not please Him or offend Him. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NKJV) It’s God’s will that you don’t share your body with someone other than your husband or wife.

Honorable: Precious, Valuable, of Great Value.

Your marriage should be honored, precious, and of great value to you. (Hebrews 13:4-6, NKJV)  What you really value, you will protect and care for. Adulterers, God will judge. (Hebrews 13:4b, NKJV)

Judged: Punished, called into action, self-condemnation, and Separating or separation.

Be content with your mate.

Without God’s mercies, we will miss out on His miracles and our life will be miserable. (Lamentations 3:21-23, NKJV)

Mercy: Undeserved forgiveness and unearned kindness we get from God.

Many do not realize the seriousness of the Vow they are breaking. (Ecclesiastes 5:4-6, NKJV)

You will bring destruction on your job. When you get married, you are making a vow, a promise, and commitment for life to your mate and to God. (Hebrews 13:4, NKJV)

Easy accessibility to pornography. (2 Samuel 11:1-4, NKJV)

Pornography stimulates endorphins.
5 Reasons people use Pornography:

  1. Boredom
  2. Entitlement
  3. Escapism
  4. Fantasy.
  5. Fear of Rejection.
