You are Born for Greatness, Pt. 4

John 14:12-14, NKJV

We are not only born for greatness, but also the good works we are to do help us accomplish our greatness.

Jesus wants us to do greater works than He did. Many times, greater works will be done in our job, homes, and hobbies as we learn the difference between Divine Encounters and Devilish Disruptions. These greater works are to bring glory to the Father.

We need to be asking in Jesus’ Name what great works He would have us do. After we are saved, our very purpose and being are to do good works. What are some good works? (Ephesians 2:10, NKJV)

  • Our behavior among the unsaved.
  • Giving money to further God’s Kingdom.
  • Showing Hospitality.
  • Witness to the unsaved.
  • Witness through suffering.
  • Witness by finishing the race, not quitting, and not giving up.
  • Witness by using our gifts and talents.

We are to multiply what God has given us.

Have a mindset of multiplying, not simply maintaining. We are to be good stewards of our gifts. (1 Corinthians 4:1-2, KJVAE) Be faithful. Faithfulness – steadfast, consistent, dependable, loyal, trustworthy or reliable. Jesus implies faithfulness in one word, multiplication. (Matthew 25:23, KJVAE)

Results of not multiplying what God gives us: (Matthew 25:24-29, KJVAE)

True faithfulness = multiplication. We were born to multiply. (Genesis 1:28, KJVAE) True faithfulness not only equals or involves multiplication, it results in joy. (Matthew 25:23, KJVAE) This joy can’t be taken from you and can be enjoyed on earth and in heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:13, KJVAE; Matthew 7:20, KJVAE)

Not multiplying could bring curses instead of blessings. (Mark 11:13-14, KJVAE; Mark 11:20-21, KJVAE) Fruitlessness leads to judgement. (Matthew 25:26,30, KJVAE; Matthew 5:13, KJVAE; Matthew 5:13, AMP)

What is your mindset? (Genesis 1:28, KJVAE; Matthew 25:23, KJVAE)

When we are faithful with what God has given us, He will multiply it and give us more. God did not take the money and divide it up equally between each one. The one who worked the hardest and smartest received more, the one who the one who was lazy received nothing.

We are to give and care for the poor but not to the lazy. Do you have the maintained mindset or multiplication mindset? Which is more biblical? (Matthew 25:28-29, KJVAE)

The Difference Between the Servants. (Matthew 25:14-30; KJVAE)

The servant with the five bags of silver had a multiplication mindset and multiplied what God gave him. (Matthew 25:20-21, KJVAE) The servant with the two bags of silver had a multiplication mindset, worked and earned to more. (Matthew 25:22-23, KJVAE)

The servant who received one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and buried his master’s money, he had a maintenance mindset. (Matthew 25:24-30, KJVAE) Jesus is coming back and we will give account how we multiply or maintain what God has given us. When we are faithful and multiply what God has given us, He will give us more.
