Overview
Kindness is the 5th fruit of the spirit & available to all believers who obey Christ.
As believers we have the fruit of kindness is we listen to and trust God.
“Never let loyalty & Kindness leave you.. then you will find favor & you will earn a good (GOD) reputation”.
It’s okay to want to be liked, but popularity is not worth making bad decisions over. Gods way of loyalty an kindness will bring about the right kind of popularity.
Being kind may not always be what makes us popular but the Bible promises it will lead us to have the best reputation.
Kindness should be easy, but sometimes it’s not. But if we remember God in all we do and respect Him and refuse to do wrong He will give you success.
Let kindness show in everything you do.
Get the Kids Involved
Talk about how it’s not always easy to be kind to someone who is being mean to us, but it’s what God calls us to do.
Talk about ways God sends us signs that we should be kind like the feeling that you want to call or write a letter to someone because they are on your mind can be God telling you that person is in need of having his/her spirit lifted. Sometimes our kindness can be exactly what someone needs to remember that they are loved/ cared for.
Discuss how Christians (those who have Christ in their heart) have the fruits of the spirit & how if you have not accepted Christ what it means when you do make that decision and that you too will have the fruits of the spirit
Goals for the Week
Memorize memory verse
Read proverbs 3: 3-6
Make an ACTS OF KINDNESS chart and try and do one of them every day of this week.
Think of someone who may have upset you or been mean to you and what they may be going through in their life causing them to act that way and try and do something nice for them.
Remember kindness spreads, if you are kind it encourages others to be kind too!
