Go After the One | Help Someone Find Their Way Back to God
Jesus had compassion, love, and truth that attracted sinners. (Luke 15:1-7, NIV)
Sinners are not socially acceptable. Jesus has a word and cure for us.
When Jesus finds the lost sheep: (Isaiah 53:6, NIV)
- He joyfully carries it.
- He brings it home.
- He celebrates.
What Jesus does with our sins:
Jesus took our sins upon Himself and carried them to the cross. He suffered in our place so that we could be forgiven. He endured the cross with joy because He knew it would bring salvation to those who believe. (Hebrews 12:2, NIV)
One of the greatest cures is to do your part to bring those who are lost and far from God close to God one step at a time. Jesus did not see carrying the lost sheep back home as a burden but as a joy. Inviting the lost to Christ results in great joy, and it may bring the greatest joy of all. (Luke 10:17, NIV)
The Holy Spirit’s job & responsibility and our job & responsibility: (John 6:44, NIV; Romans 10:14, NIV)
The Holy Spirit works, but people need to hear the message first. Some preach, some invite, some plant seeds, and God brings the growth. We are to invite others to Christ. (Luke 14:23, NIV) The Holy Spirit works through us. (Acts 1:8, NIV)
