Multiply Your Faith: The Nature of God

Welcome, to the first sermon in a series called Multiply by Pastor James Greer. We’re excited to share that this series of sermons will explore how to multiply your joy, your peace, your money, and how to multiply your forgiveness. In today’s sermon, we’ll talk about The Nature of God.

The Very Nature of God is for us to Multiply

(Genesis 1:27-28, NKJV)

When God blesses us, we will multiply. But to go forth and multiply doesn’t necessarily mean children. The word blessed is linked to multiplication, and He multiplies according to your gifts.

The Bible says, “Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:41-42, NKJV).

Because the disciples fellowshipped and prayed, God multiplied (Acts 6:1, NKJV). When you have fellowship together, have a spiritual component together, and pray together, it will equal multiplication.

In Matthew 25:20-21 (NKJV) the Bible says, “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

When you have 5 talents and he gives you 5 more, you have more than you’ve ever had to do in your life. But when you multiply the right way, it will bring joy. When God makes you ruler over more things, he also gives you more joy.

When God multiplies, nothing can stop the multiplication process.  People can’t stop what God is trying to do. He is in charge here on Earth.

The Way to Multiply is to Sow

(2 Corinthians 9:6-10, NLT2)

Multiplying is the same as sowing. It is slow. But we can determine what we reap by choosing what we sow.

Grateful people are generous people. In Pastor James’ words, “Some of the most ungrateful people are not generous.” God wants us to decide to be cheerful and generous givers so He can cheerfully give to us (Galatians 6:7, NKJV).

Sow Correctly and You’ll Have Abundant Harvest

God gives us free will over our lices. So you have to decide to be a cheerful and generous giver so God can give back to you (2 Corinthians 9:6b, NLT2). When you learn to sow correctly you will always have all you need and then some, because the Bible says you will have an abundant harvest.

It’s important to remember that there is no overnight success. You will reap what you sow over a long period of time. And, it’s not about luck. It’s a proven fact that your mindset will change your behavior. If you believe you’re unlucky, and your luck is the reason for your harvest, then you’ll never sow generously. Consequently, you’ll also never reap a generous harvest. Your mindset is what determines your behavior.

Your future can greatly be predicted by what you are sowing. Generosity is the only cure for greed. But you have to make the choice to sew generously. “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” (2 Corinthians 9:8, NLT2) God blesses you to be a blessing to others on his behalf. “He will not give you more than can go through you,” says Pastor James.

Generosity is Remembered For Eternity

Your giving and generosity will be remembered for eternity (2 Corinthians 9:7, NLT). Here at Journey Church, we give to the community. We try to minister to our small groups.

One of the most generous things you can do is to behave accordingly in the presence of others. Pastor James offers great advice on generosity. He says, “One of the best ways to be a witness right here at home is to behave differently than unsaved people that are not witnessing for God.”

God Provides the Seed

2 Corinthians 9:9 (NLT) tells us that God is the one to provide the seed.

So God provides the seed, and you decide what to do with it. Sow generously and God will provide an abundant harvest. But a lot of people miss the seed God is trying to provide. The seed can be open doors and opportunities but you have to be open to what God is trying to provide for you.

Closing Thoughts

The very nature of God is to multiply. But to have that nature you have to have invited God into you as Savior. We, at Journey Church, believe in transformation. You can change your life and it can start today.

Pastor James says, “We can’t renew your mind for you, but we can give you the material that can. We want your life to change.”

Things to Remember

1) The very nature of God is for us to multiply. (Genesis 1:27-28, NKJV)

When God blesses us, we will multiply. When God multiplies, nothing can stop the multiplication process. (Acts 2:41-42, NKJV; Acts 6:1, NKJV)

When you multiply the right way, it will bring joy. (Matthew 25:20-21, NKJV)

2) The way to multiply is to sow. (2 Corinthians 9:6-10, NLT2)

We greatly determine what we reap by what we sow. (Galatians 6:7, NKJV) God wants us to decide to be cheerful and generous giver so He can cheerfully give to us. (2 Corinthians 9:6b, NLT2)

When you learn to sow correctly you will always have all you need. Your future can greatly be predicted by what you are sowing. Generosity is the only cure for greed.

3) The results of sowing or giving is to get or multiply. (Luke 6:38, NKJV)

You give out of love or you give out of hatred. (Isaiah 32:8, TLB; Mark 4:25, MSG) Happiness is a result of the right habits practiced or repeated over a long period of time. (Galatians 6:9, TLB)

Sermon Transcription

Morning, Journey Church. Man, we are so blessed. We got so many things happening. Hey, Steven, I saw you dunk the ball from about ten feet away, man. Michael Jordan. But you did have a little trampoline help. That’s exciting. Man, I’m just excited to start our new series called Multiply. Hey. Now, what do you think, brother? I got me some red tennis shoes, got me a new red bronco. One of my grandsons sent me a text last night, and he said, Pops, that’s what they call me. Said, Pops, I dare you to get some red tennis shoes to go along with your red bronco. Ha, ha. Grandson, what do you think about that? As much as I like the red tennis shoes and I like the red Bronco, I love Jesus more. I’m going to tell you how I ended up being a red Bronco. We have a granddaughter that went to be with the Lord when she was almost five years old. And my daughter, my wife, and me used to take her to St Jude’s. And she said a couple of things. She would say, Mimi, are we lost again? Because my wife didn’t have a good sense of direction, and a lot of times she was right. But Mimi would just say, Hey, we’re going to be there in a little while. And the other thing she would say, Mimi, I wish you and Papa had a red car. And even though it’s been years ago, she’d be 22 today and she died almost four.

When we got ready to get it and they thought all these colors out. And my wife said, Let’s get red because Kailee wanted us to get red. So that’s how come it’s red. The other thing is I posted that on Facebook, and I usually don’t do that. And I got to thinking, you know, we’re preaching on multiply and multiplication, and I’m going to preach on the very essence of multiplication is the nature of God, and then multiply your joy next Sunday. You want to be there for that. Multiply your peace and then multiply your money. And I wouldn’t ever want to give anybody the wrong idea. You don’t multiply your money by overspending your money. And so God has blessed me to multiply my money where I can pay cash for that. So I would never want to mislead anybody by thinking, Hey, go buy a new Bronco brings joy. It only brings joy if you can pay for it. And so I really wouldn’t want to do that. So I wanted to tell you the story behind it, but I didn’t want to ever mislead anybody into doing the wrong thing by doing that. So don’t do that. Don’t buy anything whether it’s a car, house, anything unless you can afford it. So anyway, we’re starting a new series called Multiply. I hope you ended up getting you a free devotion. And when you do, I said, Remember to ask these four questions. And man, I am loving it because I’m asking myself, Is there a promise to claim? Is there a commandment to obey? And is there an insight to share? And is there action to take? And one of the devotions, I posted it on my Facebook page where you could get the questions and ask them yourself.

And you should do that because they’re really short devotions where you can just take two or 3 minutes. But then when you ask those questions, a lot of times then God will speak to you. So many times it’s not so much how much you read but how much you’re anticipating God to speak to you. It’s the same thing at church. It’s not how much you’re going to spend the next 20, 25 minutes or really not even that many now. But it’s are you expecting God to speak to you? If you come to church with expectations, it’ll change your worship. It’ll change the preacher. Man, I mean their worship while ago was dynamite. I loved it. I mean, I was anticipating it, I was expecting it, and I enjoyed it. Amen? And if you come with the expectation of when I preach that God has a word for you, you’ll get a word. And so I’m hoping you’re coming with expectations. So first of all, I want you to know multiplication is the very nature of God. And I’m so excited about the series called Multiplication because this year, earlier this year and maybe the end of last year, I asked God to give me a word, and I’m going to do that next year.

I’m going to say, God, what is my word for the year in 2020? The word was multiplication. And I said, That’s great, God. I want to multiply new members. And He’s done that. He’s given us already over 110 new members this year. Amen? I said, God, I want to multiply our salvation. We’ve already baptized 61 now. Hey. Hey. Amen, Tim? So we’re multiplying that. And I want to multiply our small groups, and we’re doing that. And in September, we’re coming out with something new that says Journey on the Go that I can’t wait to share, that it’ll change your mission and your purpose. So we’re doing that. I can’t wait until we’re going to share the very essence of multiplication is the nature of God. Then we’re going to have joy, and then we’re going to have love, and then we’re going to have finances. So man, I’m just excited about the new series. Amen? So in the very beginning, in Genesis 1:27, it says, so God created man in His own image. Isn’t that great? That we’re created in God’s image. Amen? And then the image of God, he created him male and female. So when we’re reading the Bible, a lot of times it said and he and man, he’s really applying hey, man, woman, boy, and girl.

He created them. And then, God, He’s in charge. He’s the ultimate authority of everything. Amen? Heaven and earth. Heaven and what? Earth. Say Heaven and. He’s in charge of everything that’s going on on earth. When everybody gets all shook up, what’s going on and politics and presidents and all that, I almost start laughing. God to charge what’s going on Earth. And God blessed them. Listen to this. And God said to them, be fruitful and. Okay, you ready? When you’re blessed, part of the outcome is you multiply. Blessed and multiplication always go hand in hand. It doesn’t necessarily mean children. It means when God blesses you, you’re fruitful and you multiply. I want you to know when you hear the Word blessed, it’s linked to multiplication. And God wants to multiply your joy. He wants to multiply your peace. He wants to multiply your finance. Even though I’m not preaching on that today, He multiplies your finances according to your gifts. There are some that are two talented, some three, and some five. That’s okay. That’s just who you are. There’s nothing wrong with that. If you’re two person talented, be thankful for that. If you’re three, if you’re five. Just use what God has given you and enjoy being where you’re at. To put it another way, God blesses us. Then we’ll multiply. When we multiply, nobody can stop us.

Whatever God multiplies, people can’t stop what God is trying to do. Amen? For instance, in the New Testament, man, they were on fire for God. And then those were gladly they received the Word. That’s why you need to receive the Word with gladness. Amen? And they were baptized. Amen. And there’s about 3,000 souls were added to the church. That was a good day at church. We added one today. I would love to have so many people that I got tired of baptizing and we had to take turns with pastors. That’s what I call multiplication. Now, I’m glad that we had 61 so far, but I would like to 161 this year. Amen? They continued steadfast in the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking bread and prayer. I mean, they kept going. They steadfast. They multiplied. And so what they were doing and it said because they did that in Acts 6:1, in those days when the numbers of the disciples there was. What? Multiplying. Amen. So they fellowship. When they’re fellowship, they had a spiritual component and they prayed. It equals multiplication. And we’re going to be talking about that real soon. When you have fellowship together, we have a spiritual component together. Listen, and you pray together. It’ll equal multiplication. That was the essence of what Jesus did. That’s the essence of what the disciples did. And that’s what we want to do. As you fellowship and as you grow and you disciple people, you develop leadership on multiple counts.

That’s why we need to keep developing leaders because leaders lead to multiplication. It’s a mystery to me. God has blessed me in every area of my life. Every single area. Me and Debbie set goals every year. We do personal goals. We do financial goals, we do spiritual goals, and we do church goals. And God has blessed us to reach every single goal. Now, I don’t want to be prideful. I just want to tell you something. Why would you go somewhere? You ready? And listen to somebody that has not done that? Do you know I don’t even read books when the people haven’t done it? There’s thousands of books out there on how to grow your church, and they hadn’t done it. Thousands. I don’t read any of them. There’s thousands of books on how to have peace and joy and success. But they hadn’t done it. So why would you do that? So if you’re a member of Journey Church, I want you to go to people that have been successful in the areas that you need. And I want you to know that God has blessed me personally, financially, marriage, spiritually, and every other way. So when I’m preaching about this, it’s not that I hadn’t had more failures. It’s that I have worked through the failures. I’ve had more failures than anybody here. I have more personal failures. I have more financial failures.

I have more failures than anybody. I can take all y’all together and add them together. And I probably had more failures. The difference is, I didn’t quit. I had failure at church. Remember? I dropped out of church for five years. Five years? Two or three of those years, I didn’t want to preach again. But then I came back and then nothing can stop me. I want to preach. So I mean, I’ve had fears. I’ve had financial failures that I lost more money than most people ever make in a lifetime. And it looked impossible in man’s eyes for me to ever come back. But I’m here. I virtually had a nervous breakdown that I couldn’t even get out of bed, and thought I’d never preach and never be. But I’m here. You see what I’m saying? I’ve been personally, physically, financially, emotionally broke as bad or worse. I had a death of my granddaughter that I thought who was going to live. I had five pages of Scripture that I was claiming that even my son and my daughter, daughter-in-law and my wife didn’t believe. They said, Dad, I don’t think she’s going to make it. I believe. I think I had Mike Scott come and pray over her. I just believed that she is going to be healed and she died. Got shattered. Couldn’t believe it. I wanted to blame God, everybody else. I privately just went berserk.

But I’m back. So I’m curious, though. So why do so many people go to so many places and there’s so many people that haven’t done it? Because they want to hear what they want to hear instead of the truth. My only goal for continue to preach is I want to give it back to you. I want you to be more successful in every single area of your life. At this point in my life, that’s the only thing that brings happiness to me. It’s not really for what I can get other than spiritual happiness. It’s what I could give. And if you don’t take it in, I think it’s a waste. That’s what Jesus did. He said, I didn’t come to be served, but to serve. And the way I serve is to study, study, study and try to give it, give it, give it. That’s my giving. And I don’t know. I just wonder. It’s a mystery to me. The world is just messed up. And I want our people to stand up. I want us to have more success. There’s nothing wrong. I’m not prosperity theology. I’ve told y’all I think that’s the worst religion there is today. I’m not preaching that. But I do think you can have joy. I think you can have peace. I think you can have love. I think you can have good marriages. I think you can stay together. I think you can raise your kid.

I think you can be financially sound. I didn’t say you could be rich, but it can have every single need in your life met and you can be content. That’s what I believe. If you’re willing to apply. In Matthew 25:20, it says – that wasn’t the message. Said, So he who received five talents. There’s some people that have five talents. Brought back five other talents and been able to do that. And God’s blessed me with that. And he delivered them to the Lord. And so he was able to bring the five talents, and I’ve gained five more talents. He multiplied them besides those. And some people are five talented, some are two, and some are one. The problem I used to have is I used to think everybody had five talents and then they didn’t do it, there was something wrong. That’s not right. If a person has three talents, you’re going to be just rewarded in Heaven if you have two or five as you use it. You know, and the Lord said to him, What? Well done, thy good and faithful servant. Not only he did say that, he said, well done, they good and faithful servant. You’ve been faithful in a few things. I’ll make you ruler over many. Holy Moses, enter into the joy of the Lord. Amen? Yes and no. You get the joy of the Lord. But when you have five talents and He gives you five more, you have more to do than you’ve ever had in your life.

And I can tell you about that, because I know. I can remember when we were at Lee Heights and we had about 100 people and I told my wife and my family, man, I cannot wait. We’re going to build a church. But it worked out. We came back to this church. And she said, Why in the world would you want to do that? She said, You got to be crazy. We’re over here. We got 100 people are happy. They’re happy. You don’t have to do much. You just go preach. You love them. They love you. You know, it’s this easy. She said, You are the craziest person I know. She called and told on me. She told my kids. True story. Next day I go see my son and say, Hey, man, what’s happening? He said, Let’s go eat lunch. I knew there was something because I always ask him. Now he’s asking me. He said, Dad. You’re getting older. Said man, I’m not but my sixties at that time. Said, what you mean, man? I feel great. I said, No, no. He said, Are you crazy? Said, man, just stay where you’re at. You just got over about three years ago, have a nervous breakdown, and now you’re trying to drive yourself to another one. I said, yeah. I said, Son, I’m going. You and your mom, I love you both. I’m going. I said, When I’m right, there’s nothing that brings me more joy in my whole life.

But see, when you’re your ruler over a few things, God makes you ruler over more things. Guess what, though? He also gives me more joy. I have more joy at 69 than I’ve ever had in my life. That’s what it’s all about. The joy of the Lord. Nobody can explain it, but, boy, when you have it. Whew. Hey, Tim. When that guy accepted Lord the other night, were you happy? Say, Oh, yeah. Say amen. I mean, there’s nothing more exciting, huh? When he got baptized, were we excited? There’s nothing more exciting to see lives change. There’s nothing because that lasts forever. So you just get to sit. So, first of all, I want you to know something, right? Amen? The very nature of God is for us to multiply because He did. The very way of multiplication is the same. Number one, the nature of God is to multiply. Number two, the very way of multiplication is the same. It’s always same as sowing. It never has changed. It never will. So you can multiply if you learn to sow correctly. 2 Corinthians 9, the New Living Translation says, Remember this. A farmer who plants a few seeds or sows a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously or sows a lot will get a generous crop. He wants you to know that. But here is the really hard part that most people don’t understand. Are you already? Boy, y’all ready. Are y’all ready? Whew! Okay.

You must decide. Pastor can’t decide for you. Your mate, your kids. You remember they tried to decide for me? They said you’re crazy. And I understand them. You must decide. I had decided for myself. I decided in my heart how much to give. That’s personally, that’s financially, that’s with my time, that’s my energy. I’ve got to decide how much I’m going to give. Nobody can do it for me and nobody can do it for you. Most people by nature are selfish people and you’re not worried about what you can give. You’re always worried about what you can get. And God said you got to decide. So if your heart is open right now and if your ears are open, if you’re spiritually open, you’ve got to decide right now what you want to give. And don’t give reluctantly or as a response to pressure. Don’t give it because you’re being pressured. God loves a cheerful giver. He wants you to do it because you want to do it. And I want to tell you, you want to do it when you understand what you give, what you get. You get joy. I love that one. You got to just learn to do it. You got to decide how much you want. We greatly determine what we reap by what we sow or what we give. I’m going to tell you something. Now, grateful people are generous people. Grateful people are the most generous people I know.

But when you’re not generous, you’re not grateful. Some of the most ungrateful, ugliest, meanest people are not generous. You just, you can’t help it. But the most generous people I know are the most grateful people. And when you’re grateful, you have to be generous when you start thinking of all the things you should be grateful for. You’ll ought to be grateful God forgave you, sorry sinner. Then you’re saying, Oh, I wasn’t a sorry sinner. Oh, you really are now. You’ve sinned. I’ve sinned. We’ve all sinned. And some of y’all really sinned. And God forgave you anyway. Amen? Do you know you cannot out sin God’s grace? Thankfully. Amen? I mean, you got a home, you got a house, you got kids, you got a job or don’t have a job. But whatever it is, I mean, there’s so many things you can be thankful for. When you start being thankful for God, you become gracious giver. Amen? Let’s become thankful. Let’s become gracious. Let’s become givers. Let’s don’t become selfish. But it’s a principle of God. Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever a man, woman, boy or girl sows, they shall reap. It’s a law. But you got to decide. You got to decide cheerfully, generously givers. So God can cheerfully give back to you. This is good, Brother James. Let me go it over again. 2 Corinthians 9:6. Remember we’re in 2 Corinthians. But the one who plans generously is going to get a generous crop. But you got to decide to do it. Right?

Nobody’s going to do it for you. You know? Multiplication is a result of blessings and you got to do it. You know, God does not only want us to have what we have, He wants us to have what we have, and then some. And then He says, listen to this. If you sow and you plant and you water, you ready? Then you have to wait for the harvest. When you learn to sow correctly, you will always have what you need and then some. Because it says you’ll have an abundant harvest. And God will generously provide all you need. You ready? Then you will always have everything you need. You ready? And plenty left over to share with others. Do you understand? God blessed you to be a blessing. He will not bless you more than you will bless. He will not give you more than. You ready? This is cool. They can go through you. God will not give you more than that will go through you. In other words, if you will not share, if you’ll not be a blessing to others, He will not bless you more than that. He’s going to bless you to the point you’ll be a blessing. So what do you really need to be sowing? Your time, your energy, your money, your talent? What do you need be sowing into? To put it another way, what is it you need to be sowing into?

You need time, money, talent. Huh? If you learned to the right way to sow. Success can be learned. Anybody can learn. It can be learned by consistently learning to do the right thing over a long period of time. That’s it. Whatever area you need, you can have it if you consistently learn to do the right thing over a long period of time. There’s no overnight success. We went to a conference this week and this lady was real successful. She had like a 100 burger places or something or coffee shops or whatever it is. And she walked up, she said, My name is so-and-so and I’m an instant success. It only took me 15 years to start breaking even. She said, I’m so tired of people talking about instant success. And then she went on to tell the story. But you keep sowing the right thing over a long period of time and you will be a success. It’s so important. It’s a life changing question. What have you been doing the last week? The last month? Have you been sowing the right things into your time, into your money, into your talent? There are some things you need to stop, start, or continue. Your future can greatly be determined by what you’re sowing into. Don’t say this. I love this. I learned this. Don’t say I’m just unlucky. They had two scientists. It was so interesting to me. They said it is a proven fact now.

It’s a mindset that changes your behavior. It can change your way of life. They took thousands of people. And some of them would just say, I’m unlucky, I’m unlucky, I’m unlucky. And they gave them tests. And they were proving their self, they were talking themselves into being unlucky. And they changed their mindset and they scientifically proved that they could change themselves and talk themselves into not being so unlucky. They even did MRIs on their brains. You know what I said? Scientists finally caught up with Romans 12:2. Be not conformed to this world, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Now they can scientifically say, he kept saying, and we can prove it. We can scientifically prove it. I started saying the Bible said that 2,000 years ago. But anyway, I liked the fact that they could prove it because people always say, I can’t change, I can’t change, I can’t change. Now I can say, Yeah, not only does the Bible say it, scientific facts say you just got a wrong mindset. You change your mindset, you’ll change your behavior, you’ll change your life. Amen? That’s good. That’s what we want here. We want people changing their life. So that’s what He wants to do. Good deeds. It says, the Scripture says that we can share freely and give generously to the poor. Right? And these good deeds will be remembered forever.

I mean, one of the ways we did that recently and I love being a part of it, we went to Leslie Moore and we gave backpacks. Was that great or what? I loved it. And y’all that were part of it, that will be remembered for eternity, not just yesterday. God will remember that when you get to Heaven. We give to the poor in health that are physically. We try to. If you’re in a small group, you let your small group leader know that somebody in that group tries to minister to you and the small group lets the church know. But I want you to know here, if you’re a member at Journey Church and you’re not in a small group, please call the church office and let them know. Because we try to minister to the best we can. But what we don’t know we can’t do, but we try. I want to tell you, I think our church, if you only knew. I know they miss some people, but we try to minister to those that are physically poor, financially poor. We offer free financial help. We don’t just give people money because you don’t do that like the prodigal son. You’ll hurt people. But we’ll help you do a financial statement and straighten it out and then help you. So that’s what’s good. You have to understand what the good works are, the good deeds that God remembers.

If you don’t, you go JamesWGreer.com. And we have one there. But it starts to say one of the things you can do. You ready? One of the things you can do that will be remembered forever is the way we behave in front of the unsaved people. That will be remembered. In fact, one of the best ways to be a witness or a missionary right here at home is you behave or react or respond differently than the unsaved people or the believers that are not witnessing for God. If you want to be a witness or a missionary right here where you work, behave differently than the unsaved people or the believers that aren’t witnessing for Christ. And God said, I’ll remember you when you get in Heaven. We have a booklet, free booklet that you can take a test. Just go to JamesWGreer.com. I took it just recently. I didn’t do very good. I’m going to change the scoring. It’s my book. Change it. Where’s Josh? Josh, you help me do that. You scored us too hard. You go take the dadgum test. You take it today. See how you did. I didn’t do that good. I’m going to change it. Either got to change the test or I got to start doing better. I don’t know. One of the other. Anyway But that’s one of the things. How do you witness to the unsaved? How do you give your money to further the kingdom? How do you show hospitality to ministers, not just show hospitality? I didn’t even know that was in there.

Today, KP cooked all the staff breakfast. He was ministering to the ministers. Now, I don’t usually eat that kind of breakfast before I preach, and I probably won’t from now. But anyway. But what he was saying, he is trying to minister to the ministers. And there’s other ways. We have people bring us lunch. We have people do other things. If you bring lunch, bring it on Wednesdays, by the way. But anyway, anyway. Just saying. What are you thinking? Thank you, Jesus. Show hospitality in a minute. Witness to the unsaved. Suffering as a great witness. Suffering while you’re witnessing, while you’re suffering. Like Janice Rawlins. Janice is here today. Hey, baby. That will be remembered in Heaven is how you go through your suffering as a witness. She doesn’t say hey, hey. She never says a word the way I do. She just sits back there and puts her head on her husband. I tell everybody. She’s had two surgeries, brain surgery. She’s going through her last stage of treatment, cancer. And she just dah, dah, dah. Like she sent home a present to my wife the other day instead of my wife sent her. I mean, she just. What are you going to do with somebody like her?

I don’t know. But you can’t do much. Finish the race. Have y’all ever known people that come, I’m running out of time, running out of time, running out of time. Anyway. Have y’all ever known people say, I’m just not going church anymore. Somebody hurt my feelings. Well, you better not leave your home too. I’m just saying. People say that. They say stupid stuff. Like they’re just stupid. There’s a lot of dumb people in the world, man. They just let the devil blind them to the truth. There’s people have told me that. Why don’t you go to church? I got my feelings hurt. Whatever. Your wife never hurt your feelings? Talk to her about it. Anyway. You’re not using your gift, not using talent. You don’t submit and support your authorities. That can be a church. It can be a church. It can be on your job. It can be in the police. Our whole world would be, our whole world, everything we’re going through. Between home, work, church, and the nation, if we just support our authorities, we’d have peace. Now put me in the government. Why are you laughing that loud?

You haven’t laughed the whole time. I said that one thing. Yes. Say amen. Thank you. I’m just saying. I can’t even finish. Anyway. And now say amen. Talk to her when church is over, please. Okay. Y’all, I am preaching. What was I preaching? Anyway. I was preaching. I was preaching. I was preaching joy. I wasn’t preaching joy. I was preaching. Everybody should submit and support their authorities. Amen. And that we would have more peace everywhere. You know? That’s what I was preaching. Okay. I got to read this last verse where I can. In 2 Corinthians 9:10. It says, and for God is the one who provides the seed. Who provides the seed? For the farmer. Who’s the farmer? Us. And then bread to eat. God does for us to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. In other words, God said, Listen, I’m going to provide the seed. It’s up to you what you do with it. Now you’ve got to be careful. A lot of people miss out that God trying to give you seed. Seed means open doors, different opportunities, some of it’s personnel, some of it’s financial, some of it’s spiritual. He said, I’m trying to provide the seed for you.

You got to decide how you’re going to use it. All right. We got to rock and roll here. Let’s skip that, skip that, skip that. All right. All right. Put all them pages behind me. We got to close. In closing, I’m having fun today. The very nature of God is the multiply. Amen? But to have that nature, you got to have God in you. So, first of all, you’ve got to make sure you’ve been born again and saved. If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, there is no better day than today to accept Him as your Savior. I’m going to give you an invitation in just a moment, you come to the front and say, Man, I know I’ve sinned. I believe I’ve sinned. I’d like to invite Jesus Christ into my heart, be my Lord of my life, and you’ll have the very nature of multiplication. Amen? Jesus said, I’m the way and the truth and the life. No man coming to the Father, except by me. You can’t go to God, except through Jesus Christ. Second of all, is there areas in your life you need to stop sowing in? Is there areas you need to start sowing in? And here’s what I say. In Matthew 18:19, it says again, I say unto you if two or three agree on Earth concerning anything I ask.

Guess what? It’ll be done to you by my Father, who is in Heaven. Where two or three or gathered together in my name, there I am, in the midst. Listen, this is why I still give an altar call. I know a lot of churches stopped doing that. I believe in it. I believe there’s something special here today. I believe there’s something special that people come to the front. We have ministers come to the front and they want to pray with you and pray for you because God said we’re two or three are gathered together, there he is. God said, When you agree on earth and Heaven, you can ask anything you want and He’ll do it. Now we’re not going to ask and pray for something contrary to God’s Word. When you come and it’s God’s Word and God’s will, we’ll pray and we believe God’s going to happen. That’s why we’re going to have an altar call in a minute. We believe in transformation. We believe that God can transform our lives. Maybe you’re not happy, and maybe you’ve not been happy for a long, long time. Maybe you’ve even thought about taking your life. Don’t do that. You can change and it can start today. It’s scientifically and biblically proven that you can change your life. You can actually become happy. Might take a while, but it can happen.

The Bible tells don’t be conformed to this world. That’s the world telling you that. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That’s God telling you that. And I’ll prove to you what is good, what’s acceptable, what’s the perfect? And you’ll have joy again. You’ll have happiness again. If that’s you, today’s day for you. Come to the front. Be open. Be honest in brokenness. And say, I just haven’t been happy. Can you help me learn to renew my mind? Can you give me some material? We can’t renew your mind for you, but we can give you the material that can. I’m going to tell you that’s what we’re here for. We’re here to help you. We want to change. We want your life to change. We want your marriage to change in every single area of your life. So you’ve got the opportunity today to do that. So would you stand please? God, I love you, man. I thank you for your Word. It’s so powerful, it’s so practical. And I think if you’re here today, I bind Satan to the power and the blood of Jesus Christ, that hearts would be tender, that they would be receptive, and God, that you could have your will and your way in every single person here today. And I pray it in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
