Time to Dream | How Dreams Are Shattered
Important Insights. (1 Samuel 13: 5-14, NKJV; Psalm 27:14, NKJV; Isaiah 40:31, NKJV)
God’s purpose for allowing stress and pressure in our lives is for us to learn to turn and learn from Him. Learn to wait upon the Lord. The danger is when we don’t allow stress and pressure to have its way, we keep trying to depend on self and others instead of God. (Isaiah 26:3-4, NKJV)
What controls our mind controls the person. Our mind controls our peace, our peace controls our patience, our patience control the power we get from God, the power we get from God controls the outcome, and the outcome controls our futures.
When we walk by sight instead of faith.
(2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV; 1 Samuel 13:6-8 NKJV; Isaiah 45:2-3, TEV; Jeremiah 1:8, NCV😉
God told the men of Israel, “I will be with you and for you.” The men of Israel allowed their mind to control their actions. We need to stop and ask God to open our spiritual eyes.
The danger of not waiting on the Lord and the danger of taking things into our own hands. (1 Samuel 13:9, NKJV)
Only Samuel, God’s spokesman, was to offer burnt peace offerings to God. Saul didn’t want to wait on God or God’s authority in the matter. (1 Samuel 13:10-12, NKJV) Saul became afraid and blamed Samuel, thought he was smarter than God, and would do it his way rather than God’s way. (1 Samuel 13:13-14, NKJV; 1 Samuel 15:22, NCV) Nobody can shatter your Godly dreams but you. (Romans 8:31, NKJV)
Stop depending on what you see, feel, and even think.
(1 Samuel 13:11, 12b, NKJV; Ephesians 1:19-21, NKJV; Psalm 30:5, NKJV; Isaiah 54:7-8, TLB)
Trust God’s word instead of what you see. Trust God’s word instead of what you think. Trust God’s word instead of what you feel.
